Steve Harkin was born in Santa Barbara, California and began drawing at an early age. He received his BFA from Drake University in 1995, and studied painting at Scuola Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy.
After a short stint as an installer at the Des Moines Art Center, Harkin moved to Portland, Oregon where he began working for Nike, Inc. Selections of Harkin’s Nike work have been featured in C.A. and Graphis. In 2005, Steve accepted a creative director position at HERENOW where he works to this day.
